About the Roughrider Fund Committee
The Roughrider Fund is a one and a half cent city sales tax that was established in 1998 to support projects that enhance Watford City and the surrounding areas. The committee, appointed by the mayor, operates under the guidelines in the Roughrider Fund handbook of policies and procedures. For applications to be included in a particular month’s meeting, they must be received by City staff by NOON on or before the Thursday before the last Monday of that month. The Roughrider Fund Committee meets the last Monday of each month, at 2:00PM in The Heritage Room at City Hall.
