City Contractor Licensing

Article 8 of Chapter VI-Business Regulations & Licenses states a person may not engage in the business nor act in the capacity of a contractor within the city when the cost, value, or price per job exceeds the sum of two thousand dollars ($2,000.00) without first having received a City Contractor License.  This is applicable to both general contractors and sub-contractors.

No contractor's license shall be issued by the city until such time as the applicant shall have demonstrated receipt of a contractor's license issued by the state.

Contractor Business Licenses expire annually on March 31st. Annual fees are established by resolution of the City Council.
