Did you know the City of Watford City water comes from the City of Williston Water Treatment Plant? Due to the Missouri River reaching flood levels, the Williston Water Treatment Plant is dealing with an increased amount of organics, which require additional chemicals for treatment. The Water Treatment Plant is working diligently and continues to provide safe, clean water while meeting compliance required by the Department of Environmental Quality and EPA. They have not indicated when this will end but are considering backing off on the chlorine levels today. Carbon pitchers or faucet filter attachments can help in the meantime.
